Sunday Adventures

Today I told My Love that I wanted to go on an adventure. It just felt like the sort of thing to do. And so, we took a long drive. Luke told me that I had to navigate and so we wound our way north and west of town. Winding dirt roads lead us through the gossamer green of the newly budding popple and birch trees. It was perfect. As we wound ourselves further into the woods, Luke mentioned that an old friend lived in the area and that he had a Swedish knife making business. We decided to stop in for a visit. We got a tour of the shop and a history of the business, it was fun. And now we are home and the grill has been fired up for some  BBQ and baked potatoes, a fitting way to end an afternoon of adventure.
I hope your day was beautiful, sweet, and simple. But even if it wasn't, always remember that The Creator of Spring's Greenery is by your side, calling you to lean into Him. Trust Him with the adventure of your life. Happy Sunday!

"Slow down and enjoy life. It's not only the scenery you miss by going to fast--You also loose the sense of where you are going and why." ~Eddie Cantor

  1. Sounds like a lovely day. Spring demands out of door adventures.
We had a lovely spring Sunday as well, Church, then a piano recital, then a rest time and outdoor play and then supper as a whole family (first time since Wednesday!) plus our standard visitors. We ended the evening with most of us playing Telestrations. It did this mamas heart good to have a day of leisure togetherness.

  2. That sounds like fun and reminds me of our day yesterday. As we drove home from Brainerd we kept our eyes out for beauty and anything that might be fun to stop and look at. It was a meandering, fun day.
